The GearUp technique bar is a 7kg barbell and is designed so that trainees can perfect their technique before moving on to the 20kg bars.

Wanting to ensure the best possible workouts for our beginner trainees, we have strived for our technique bars to have the highest possible level of mechanical precision just like the Olympic standard bars. For this reason, GearUp's engineering bar has a tensile strength of 50000 PSI and comes equipped with a bearing on each side. This allows beginners to get used to rotating the bar in their hands and smooths their transition to the heavier Olympic-style bars.

We recommend not throwing this bar down as it is not as strong as Competition bars or Elite bars. For this reason, it also has a maximum safe load of 40 kg. It is indicated for beginners or athletes who have suffered an injury and are returning to their training.
