The balance beam is a foam unstable, surface, ideal for practising balance and proprioception. It is mainly used by physiotherapists and occupational therapists to regain gait and walking as well as strengthen the lower limbs and trunk muscles in patients. Many fitness trainers and coaches also use this balance tool in athletes in combination with other fitness equipment to increase the difficulty of the exercise and simulate real sports conditions in training (sports specific training). Patients improve balance and coordination of various muscle groups mainly the trunk and legs. The surface is non-slip and should be used with bare feet (no shoes).
